NEC與ADI合作為Rakuten Mobile提供5G O-RAN大規模MIMO無線電方案

台北2020年10月23日 /美通社/ — NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701)與Analog Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADI)日前宣佈合作為Rakuten Mobile設計出適用於5G網路的大規模MIMO天線無線電單元。該無線電單元採用ADI第四代寬頻RF收發器解決方案,可實現高精度大規模MIMO,並具有5G開放式vRAN(虛擬無線存取網路)介面,可滿足Rakuten Mobile端對端全虛擬化雲端原生行動網路之需求,透過3.7GHz大規模MIMO*[1]和數位波束成型技術*[2]實現高效的大容量傳輸。雲端原生虛擬網路預示著一個重大轉變:通訊服務供應商將以何種方式在全球範圍內以明顯較低的成本提供高速的互聯網接入,並盡可能無需物理基礎設施相關的維護、保養、維修和人工成本,因為正是這些因素阻礙了傳統網路的發展。NEC則已開始針對Rakuten Mobile提供5G網路大規模MIMO天線無線電單元。 

ADI第四代寬頻RF收發器將四通道發射器、接收器和數位預失真(DPD)整合在一個晶片內。該無線電方案可完全透過軟體重新配置,並且覆蓋全部sub-6GHz 5G頻段,簡化無線電設計。 

NEC副總裁Nozomu Watanabe表示:「ADI的RF收發器專門設計用來支援大規模MIMO和小型基地台系統等無線應用,可簡化系統設計,減小尺寸和重量,並最大程度地降低功耗。虛擬化是一種具有成本效益的可靠技術,全球領先的電信供應商正不斷探索此領域並將其視為通訊的下一個發展方向。ADI的RF設備使我們提供的連接技術滿足需求,以搭建支援5G全頻譜系統的架構。」 

NEC的5G設備利用高精度數位波束成型實現高效的大容量傳輸。系統並可透過電路整合實現無縫安裝。

*[1] 大規模MIMO :大規模多路輸入多路輸出,為MIMO的擴充版,本質上是將發射器和接收器上的天線分組合併,以提供更理想的輸送量和頻譜效率。
